Align the Print Head
If your printouts become grainy or blurry, or you see dark or light bands across them, you may need to align the print head.
Note:
Dark or light bands may also appear on your prints if your print head nozzles need cleaning.
You can align the print head using the control panel or your software.
Using the Control Panel

Press Home and select Setup.

Select Maintenance.

Select Head Alignment.
5.
Press  Start.
The alignment sheet prints.

Press # 1 on the screen, select the number of the best pattern in the first set, and press OK. Then repeat for the other sets.
Note:
If no patterns are aligned, choose the closest one. Then print another alignment sheet when you’re done and check it.

Press OK when you’re done.
From the Computer

Windows:
Right-click the  printer icon in the bottom right corner of your screen (the taskbar) and select Print Head Alignment.
Macintosh:
Open the Applications folder, open the EPSON Printer Utility3, select the Artisan 810 Series, and click OK. Then select Print Head Alignment.

Do not press the  Cancel button to cancel printing of the alignment sheet.

If no patterns are aligned, choose the closest one and click Realignment. Then print another alignment sheet and check it.
