Replace Ink Cartridges

Replace Ink Cartridges
Your product and its software will let you know when an ink cartridge is low or expended. You’ll see a message on the product’s screen.
You cannot print or copy when an ink cartridge is expended even if the other cartridges are not expended. Replace any expended cartridges before printing or copying. You can still scan, fax, and view photos on the screen.
Note:
When black ink is low, you will see a message when you print from your computer (using Windows). You can select to save black ink (when you print text on plain paper) by using a mixture of colors to create black. See Conserve Black Ink When Black Ink Is Low.
When an installed ink cartridge is more than six months old, you may need to replace it if your printouts do not look their best, even after cleaning and aligning the print head.
