Check the Messages on the Touch Screen
Follow the instructions on the touch screen to solve most common problems. If you see one of the error messages below, follow the steps here to proceed.
Turn the product off, make sure no paper is jammed inside or in the ADF, then turn it back on. Make sure the paper is loaded correctly.
Cannot recognize photos. Make sure photos are placed correctly.
A printer error has occurred. Turn power off and then on again.
Turn the product off and make sure no paper is jammed inside. Make sure the transportation lock has been removed. If the error is not resolved, contact Epson for help.
Communication error. Make sure the computer is connected, then try again.
Make sure the computer is connected securely. Make sure scanning software is installed on your computer and the software settings are correct. Turn the product off and then back on. If the error is not resolved, contact Epson for help.
The printer’s ink pads are nearing the end of their service life. Please contact Epson Support.
Contact Epson to replace the ink pads before the end of their service life. When the ink pads are saturated, the product stops and service is required to continue printing.
The printer’s ink pads are at the end of their service life. Please contact Epson Support.
Contact Epson to replace the ink pads.
Error in the data. The document cannot be printed. The data is not available because of a malfunction in the sending device.
Error in the data. The document may not be printed correctly. A part of the data is corrupted or cannot be buffered.
No dial tone detected. Try Check Fax Connection.
Make sure the phone cable is connected correctly and the phone line works. If you connected the product to a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) phone line or Terminal Adapter, turn off the Dial Tone Detection.
The combination of IP address and subnet mask is invalid.
