Clean the Paper Path

If you see ink on the back of a printout, you can clean the paper path to clean out any excess ink.

1.	Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder.

2.	Windows: Right-click the  printer icon in the bottom right corner of your screen (the taskbar), select Printer Settings, click the Maintenance tab, and select Paper Guide Cleaning.

Macintosh: Open the Applications folder, open the EPSON Printer Utility 2, select Stylus CX4400, and click OK. Then select Paper Guide Cleaning.

3.	Follow the on-screen instructions to feed the paper slowly through the printer to clean the paper path.

4.	Repeat as necessary until the paper comes out clean.
