Scan From the Control Panel
Use the Scan button to quickly scan a photo or document and save it on your computer. You can even scan a photo and have it automatically included in an email message.
Your product will automatically select suitable default scan settings. If you want to view or change those settings, see Change Scan Settings.
Note:
Not available for Mac OS X 10.6, see Scan with Mac OS X 10.6.
Tip:
To access more advanced features, use the Epson Scan software. For example, Epson Scan lets you restore faded colors in old photos.

Press the Scan button.

Press  or  to select one of the following options:
Scan to PC automatically creates a JPG image and saves it to your computer; ideal for scanning photos
Scan to PDF automatically creates a PDF file and saves it to your computer; ideal for scanning documents
Scan to Email automatically scans a photo, resizes it, launches your email application, and attaches the JPG image to a new outgoing message

Press  Start.

If your product is connected to a network, press  or  to select your computer name from the list, then press  Start.
Once your image is scanned, you see its icon in Windows Explorer or Macintosh Finder, or in your email application, depending on the option you selected.
