Software Setup Problems
You cannot install EPSON TWAIN.
The scanner does not appear in the Port list of the EPSON TWAIN 5 dialog box in Control Panel when you connect the SCSI interface to your computer running Windows other than Windows 98 and 2000.
The Scanner Status does not indicate "Device Ready" after you click Test in the EPSON TWAIN 5 dialog box (Windows 95 and NT 4.0) or the Scanner's Properties dialog box (Windows 98 and 2000) in Control Panel.
You cannot install EPSON TWAIN.

Check if your computer and operating system meets the system requirements.

Make sure your computer has enough memory to run the application.

Turn off the computer and scanner and check the connection between your hardware.

Change the SCSI ID number to one that is not being used by any other SCSI device.

Make sure the interface cable meets the requirements of your interface board. See the manual that comes with the interface board.

Turn off the scanner and computer and check the connection between the scanner and the computer.

Make sure the SCSI interface board is installed correctly.

Turn off the scanner and computer. Turn on the scanner and then turn on the computer.

Make sure the SCSI driver is properly installed.

Change the scanner's SCSI ID number to one that is not being used by any other SCSI device.

Check the connection sequence. See your Startup Guide.

If the Film Adapter is installed, make sure it is switched off.
