Projector Setup Settings - Extended Menu

Settings on the Extended menu let you customize various projector setup features that control its operation.

Selects various display options

Messages: controls whether messages are displayed on the screen

Display Background: selects the screen color or logo to display when no signal is received

Startup Screen: controls whether a special screen appears when the projector starts up

A/V Mute: selects the screen color or logo to display when A/V Mute is turned on

Closed Caption Off

Controls use of closed captions and selects the closed caption type (closed captions are only visible for NTSC signals connected through the S-Video or Video ports)
User's Logo – Creates a screen that the projector displays to identify itself and enhance security

Selects the way the projector faces the screen so the image is oriented correctly

Audio Input (PowerLite 935W)

Selects various operation options

Direct Power On: lets you turn on the projector without pressing the power button

Sleep Mode: automatically turns off the projector after an interval of inactivity

Sleep Mode Timer: sets the interval for Sleep Mode

Lens Cover Timer: automatically turns off the projector after 30 minutes if the lens cover is closed

High Altitude Mode: regulates the projector’s operating temperature at altitudes above 4921 feet (1500 m)

Audio Input: selects the audio source to output

Standby Mode Communication On

Communication Off

Selects whether the following can occur when the projector is in standby mode (on) or not (off)
  • Projector can be monitored over a network (not available on PowerLite 92)
  • Display output signals on an external monitor from the Computer1 port
  • Output audio from a connected microphone (not available on PowerLite 92/93)
  • Output audio to external speakers connected to the projector (PowerLite 935W)
Standby Microphone

Selects whether the projector can output audio from a connected microphone even when the projector is in standby mode
Standby Audio

Selects whether the projector can output audio to external speakers when the projector is in standby mode. (Audio from HDMI, USB Display, USB, and LAN sources cannot be output.)
Plug-in Power

Set to On if you connect a condenser microphone with plug-in power support
USB Type B USB Display

Wireless Mouse

Selects the use of the projector's USB Type B port

USB Display: select when you connect a computer to the projector's USB TypeB port to display images

Wireless Mouse: select for wireless mouse control when you connect your source to the projector's Computer or HDMI port

Language Various languages available Selects the language for projector menu and message displays (not changed by Reset option)
