Transporting the Scanner

Before transporting the scanner over a long distance or storing it for an extended period, you need to lock the scanner's carriage to prevent damage. Follow the steps below.

Turn on the scanner and wait until the carriage moves to the home position. When the indicator light remains on (green), turn off the scanner.

Disconnect the power cable.

Disconnect the USB cable or IEEE 1394 cable.

If the document cover's cable is connected, disconnect it.

Turn the transportation locks to the locked position to secure the carriage.

Attach the protective materials and repack it in the original box.
