Check Cartridge Status

You can check the ink cartridge status anytime using your Windows or Macintosh software.

You can also check the approximate level of ink remaining in each cartridge on the printer’s LCD screen:

The code beneath each ink icon indicates the cartridge color:

Y: Yellow	LLK: Light Light Black
VLM: Vivid Light Magenta	LK: Light Black
LC: Light Cyan	PK: Photo Black
VM: Vivid Magenta	MK: Matte Black
C: Cyan	—

If an ink cartridge is low, the  ink light flashes and you see a  symbol displayed over the low cartridge’s icon.

When an ink cartridge is expended, the  ink light stays on and you see a  symbol displayed over the expended cartridge’s icon. This message appears on the screen:
