If print quality has declined and the nozzle check pattern indicates clogged nozzles, you can clean the print head.Note:
You cannot clean the print head if an ink cartridge is low or expended. You must replace the cartridge first.
1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder.
2. Press OK to open the menu screen.

4. Press OK.Cleaning lasts around 2 minutes. When it’s finished, you see a message on the LCD screen.
5. You may need to clean the print head up to 4 times. You can also turn the R3000 Series off and wait at least 6 hours. Then try printing again.

2. Windows: Right-click theicon in the bottom right corner of your screen (the taskbar) and select Head Cleaning.
Macintosh: Open the Applications folder, open the Epson Software folder, and open the EPSON Printer Utility 4. If you have more than one printer, click Printer List and select your product. Then select Head Cleaning.
3. Click Start and follow the on-screen instructions to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts around 2 minutes. When it’s finished, you see a message on the LCD screen.
4. When thepower light stops flashing and remains on, you can check to see if the nozzles are clean:
