Scan to a Memory Card or USB Storage Device

You can scan a photo or document and save it on a memory card or USB storage device in JPEG or PDF format.

Note:
Disconnect the Epson Stylus Photo RX595 Series from your computer by unplugging the USB cable on the back before scanning to a memory card or USB storage device.

1.

Insert a memory card in one of the memory card slots, or connect your USB storage device to the EXT. I/F port.

Place your photo or document on the scanner glass.

Press the Memory Card button.

Press or to select Scan to Memory Card, then press OK.

Select the scan settings for the file you will scan.

Select Format and choose JPEG (for photos) or PDF (for documents).

•

Select Scan Area and choose Auto Cropping (for most photos) or Max. Area (for photos or documents with light edges).

Select Original and choose Text (for documents) or Photograph (for photos).

•

Select Quality and choose Standard (for documents) or Best (for photos).

6.

Press OK to scan and save your photo or document on the memory card or USB storage device in subfolders within the EPSCAN folder.

Caution:
Do not remove a card or turn off the Epson Stylus Photo RX595 Series when the memory card access light is flashing or the USB storage device is active or you may lose photos on the card or device.
