Copy Onto CDs/DVDs

You can copy a printed photo, illustration, document, or CD/DVD label directly onto an ink jet-printable 12-cm CD or DVD for a custom look. You can also check your design on plain paper first to see how the label will appear.

1.	First burn files, music, or video onto your CD/DVD before printing the label on it to prevent errors.

2.	Press the  On button to turn on the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Series.

3.	Load your CD/DVD (or plain paper to check your design) into the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Series.

4.	Place your original printed photo, illustration, or document, or your CD/DVD (label side down) on the scanner glass.

5.	Press the Copy button to enter copy mode, if necessary.

6.	To print more than 1 copy, press + or – to select the number (up to 99).

7.	Press  or  to select Color or B&W copies.

8.	Press , then press  to change the document type, if necessary.

Select Text for text, Graphics for illustrations, or Photo for photos.

9.	Press , then press  to change the layout to CD/DVD Copy.

Press OK.

Note:
If you’re copying onto discs where the printable area extends to within 0.16 inch (4 mm) of the edge of the center hole, you may need to adjust the Inner setting on the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Series control panel. See step 11, below.

11.	To copy onto a CD or DVD, press  Start.

To copy a test label onto plain paper, or to adjust the position or quality of the label, press  Menu. Select your settings, then press  Start. (Zoom, Paper Size, and Quality are set automatically for CD/DVD printing.)

CD/DVD Print Settings

•	To print a test label, select Paper Type and choose Plain Paper.

•	To change the paper feed source when printing a test label, select Paper Feed and choose Front (to feed paper from the front paper cassette) or Rear (to feed paper from the rear sheet feeder).

•	To change the copy quality when printing a test label, select Quality and choose Standard or Best.

•	To adjust the ink density if ink smears on your printed CD/DVD, select Density and choose a lower density setting. Adjusting the ink density may be necessary for each brand of disc you use due to differences in ink absorption quality by disc manufacturers.

•	To adjust the amount of image expansion, select Expansion and choose Standard, Min, or Mid.

Note:
You may see a border on your printed CDs/DVDs if you use the Min setting.

•	To adjust the position of the image on your discs, select CD Inner-Outer and adjust the distance from the center and edge of your discs. The Standard settings are 4.48 inches (114 mm) for the outer diameter and 1.81 inches (46 mm) for the inner diameter.
