Using the Stylus RIP Professional with Macintosh

Settings After an Ink Change

After changing the ink set in your printer, perform the procedure described below to reset the driver settings using the Setup menu in the Chooser. You must also perform this procedure if you are using ink other than Photo black+Light black in a printer with a replaceable black ink cartridge. (Photo black+Light black is the default Ink Combination setting for Stylus Photo 2100 and Stylus Photo 2200. Photo Quality Ink Set is the default Ink Combination setting for Stylus Pro 4000.)

Note:
  • Stylus Photo 2100 and Stylus Photo 2200 only support Photo black+Light black ink. These printers do not print using Matte black+Light black or Matte black+Matte black ink.
  • You can select Photo Quality Ink Set or High Speed Ink Set for the Ink Combination setting with Stylus Pro 4000.

Follow these steps to reset the driver settings:

While the PS Server is active, open the Chooser, click the AdobePS driver, and then select PSserver_*****.

Click Setup, and then click Auto Setup in the dialog box that appears.

Note:
To change the Ink Combination setting manually, click Configure in the dialog box shown above, and then select the desired option from the pop-up list in the dialog box that appears.

The ink set for the printer is registered automatically. When the process is complete, the dialog box shown above reappears. Click OK.
