The EPSON PS Manager is automatically installed when you install the software that is included on the CD-ROM that shipped with the EPSON Stylus RIP Professional 2.0. The PS Manager is software that enables you to obtain information on the PS Server and have control over the print jobs.

The system requirements for running the PS Manager are as follows:

Windows

Windows Me/98 Second Edition
Windows 2000 Server/Professional
Windows XP Professional/Home Edition

Web Browser

Internet Explorer 4.0 or later

See below for instructions on how to start and exit the PS Manager. For details on the functions of the PS Manager, refer to the Help for EPSON PS Manager HTML guide.

Starting PS Manager

Follow these steps to start the PS Manager for the first time:

Click Start, select Programs, then EPSON, then Stylus RIP Professional, and then finally click EPSON PS Manager.

If you are starting the PS Manager for the first time, the Password dialog box appears. Enter the password for using the PS Server from PS Manager, and then click OK.

Starting PS Manager automatically

If you use the PS Manager regularly, it is convenient to set it up to start automatically every time you turn on your computer.

Follow these steps to start the PS Manager automatically each time the computer is turned on:

Open the PS Manager folder.

Note:
If your Windows operating system resides on the drive C:, the path to the PS Manager folder will be C:\Program Files\EPSON\PS Manager for the default installation.

Right-click the PSMngr.exe icon, and then select Create Shortcut.

Move the shortcut to the C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp folder (change the drive letter as needed for your system).

Note:
If your computer is running Windows XP/2000, move the shortcut to the C:\Documents and Settings\<<user's name>>\Start Menu\Programs folder (change the drive letter as needed for your system).

Exiting PS Manager

To exit the PS Manager, right-click the PS Manager icon on the tasktray, and then click Quit.

Selecting Close on the PS Manager File menu merely closes the List window, and the PS Manager is still running on your computer.
