Nothing Prints, Even Though the On Light Is On
• If the product is connected with a USB cable, make sure the cable is connected securely at both ends and meets the requirements.
• If you connected your product to a USB hub, make sure it is a first-tier hub. If it still does not print, connect your product directly to your computer instead of the hub.
• Run a product check. If the test page prints, make sure your software is installed correctly.
• Printing stops when an ink cartridge is expended. If a color cartridge is expended, you may be able to continue printing temporarily with black ink. If a black cartridge is expended, you must replace it to continue printing.
• Windows 7:
Click, select Devices and Printers. Right-click your product name, select See what’s printing, right-click the stalled print job, click Cancel, and click Yes.
• Windows Vista:
Click, select Control Panel, and click Printer under Hardware and Sound. Right-click your product name, select Open, right-click the stalled print job, click Cancel, and click Yes.
• Windows XP:
Click Start and select Printers and Faxes. (Or open the Control Panel, select Printers and Other Hardware if necessary, and Printers and Faxes.) Right-click your product name, select Open, right-click the stalled job, click Cancel, and click Yes.

• Your product won’t operate properly if it’s tilted or at an angle. Place it on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond the base in all directions.Try restarting your computer. If you still don’t see theproduct icon, follow these steps:
Windows XP:
Click Start, select Control Panel, then select Printers and Faxes (or Printers and Other Hardware and then Printers and Faxes).

5. Make sure your system meets the requirements. If you’re printing a high-resolution image, you need more than the minimum requirements listed. You may also need to:

• If you installed the printer on a wireless network, use a computer and router or wireless access point with 802.11g or 802.11n. Try moving the printer and your wireless router or access point closer together. Also avoid placing the printer next to a microwave oven, 2.4 GHz cordless phone, or large metal object (such as a filing cabinet).
• If printing becomes closer after printing continuously for a long time, the product may have automatically slowed down to protect the print mechanism from overheating or becoming damaged. Let the product rest with the power on for 30 minutes, then try printing again.
• Choose Black/Grayscale or Grayscale in your printer settings if your document doesn’t include color.
• For Windows, choose Draft for the Quality Option.
• For Mac OS X, choose Fast Economy for the Print Quality.
