Nothing Prints, Even Though the On Light Is On
• If the product is connected with a USB or Ethernet cable, make sure the cable is connected securely at both ends and meets the requirements.
• Run a printer check. If the test page prints, make sure your software is installed correctly.
• Printing stops when an ink cartridge is expended. If a color cartridge is expended, you may be able to continue printing temporarily with black ink. If a black cartridge is expended, you must replace it to continue printing.
• Check to see if the print head nozzles are clogged.
• Your product won’t operate properly if it’s tilted or at an angle. Place it on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond the base in all directions.Try restarting your computer. If you still don’t see the icon, follow these steps:Windows XP:
Click Start, select Control Panel, then select Printers and Faxes (or Printers and Other Hardware and then Printers and Faxes).

5. Make sure your system meets the requirements. If you’re printing a high-resolution image, you need more than the minimum requirements listed. You may also need to:

• If you installed the printer on a wireless network, use a computer and router or wireless access point with 802.11g or 802.11n. Try moving the printer and your wireless router or access point closer together. Also avoid placing the printer next to a microwave oven, 2.4 GHz cordless phone, or large metal object (such as a filing cabinet).
• Choose Black/Grayscale in your printer settings if your document doesn’t include color.
• For Windows, choose Draft for the Quality Option.
• Make sure Quiet Mode is not selected.
