Fax a Document or Photo : Set Up Your Fax Features

Enter the Time and Header Information
You should enter your header and time information before sending a fax so that recipients can identify the source and the time it was sent. See the following:
Enter the Date and Time
Entering Your Sender Name
Enter Your Phone Number
Enter the Date and Time
Before setting the date and time, you should select the appropriate Daylight Saving Time setting for your region. This setting lets you easily set the clock one hour ahead or one hour back when the time change takes place.

Press the Home button.

Press or to select Printer Setup, then press OK. You see this screen:

Press or to select Daylight Saving Time from the Printer Setup menu, then press OK.

Press or to select Summer if your region uses Daylight Saving Time and it’s currently in effect. (DST is effective from spring through summer.) Otherwise select Winter to turn off the setting.
Note:
When you change the setting from Winter to Summer, the clock is automatically set ahead by one hour. When you change it from Summer to Winter, the clock is set back.

Press OK. You return to the Setup menu.
Follow these steps to set the date and time:

Press or to select Date/Time from the Setup menu, then press OK. You see the Date/Time screen.

If you selected 12h, press or to select AM or PM.

Press OK. You return to the Printer Setup menu.
Entering Your Sender Name

Press or to select Fax Setting, then press OK. You see this screen:

Select Header, then press OK.

Select Fax Header, then press OK. You see the header information input screen.

Use the numeric keypad to enter the header information. You can enter up to 40 digits.

Press OK. You return to the Header menu.
Enter Your Phone Number

Select Your Phone Number from the Header menu, then press OK. You see the phone number input screen.

Use the numeric keypad to enter your phone number. You can enter up to 20 digits.
Note:
When entering a phone number, the * button does not work. Use the # button to type the + symbol for an international number, such as +81 to dial a number in Japan.

Press OK. You return to the Header menu.
