Align the Print Head
If your printouts become grainy or blurry, or you see dark or light bands across them, you may need to align the print head.
Note:
Dark or light bands may also appear on your prints if your print head nozzles need cleaning.
You can align the print head using the control panel or your software.
Using the Control Panel

Press the Home button.

Press or to select Setup, then press OK.

Press or to select Maintenance, then press OK. You see this screen:

Select Head Alignment and press OK.

Press Start. The alignment sheet prints.

Press to select the next set, then repeat step 8 to select the best pattern for sets 2, 3, and 4.

Press OK when you’re done.

From the Computer

Windows:
Right-click the printer icon in the bottom right corner of your screen (the taskbar) and select Print Head Alignment.
Macintosh:
Open the Applications folder, open the EPSON Printer Utility3, select your WorkForce 610 Series, and click OK. Then select Print Head Alignment.

Do not press the Stop/Clear Settings button to cancel printing of the alignment sheet.

If no patterns are aligned, choose the closest one and click Realignment. Then print another alignment sheet and check it.
