Projector Feature Settings - Settings Menu

Options on the Settings menu let you customize various projector features.

H/V-Keystone V-Keystone

H-Keystone

Adjusts the angle of the horizontal and vertical sides in the projected image
Audio

Volume

Inverse Audio

Adjusts the projector's audio output

Volume: adjusts the volume

Inverse Audio: inverts the left and right audio output channels; select On when projecting from a ceiling and playing sound from the projector's speakers

HDMI Link Device Connections

Power Off Link

Adjusts the HDMI Link options so you can use the projector remote to control HDMI-connected devices that support the CEC standard

Device Connections: lists the devices connected to the HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports, or to the WirelessHD transmitter (PowerLite Home Cinema 3600e)

HDMI Link: enables or disables the HDMI Link function

Audio Out Device: selects whether to output audio from the internal speakers or a connected audio/video system

Power On Link: controls what happens when you turn on the projector or linked device
  • PJ -> Device or Bidirectional: turns the linked device on when the projector is turned on
  • Device -> PJ or Bidirectional: turns the projector on when the linked device is turned on

Power Off Link: controls whether linked devices are turned off when the projector is turned off

Adjusts settings for use with the WirelessHD transmitter

Device Connections: displays a list of available WirelessHD devices

WirelessHD: controls whether the projector receives WirelessHD signals

Reception: displays the strength of the WirelessHD signal

WiHD Mode: adjusts the WirelessHD signal strength and range

  • Full: uses the maximum video bandwidth at all times
  • Dynamic: provides extended signal range while adjusting the video bandwidth in real time; if your WirelessHD signal is weak, try selecting this setting

Reset: resets the WirelessHD settings to the default settings (projector only)*

Child Lock: locks the power button

Control Panel Lock: locks all buttons except the power button

Projection Front

Selects the way the projector faces the screen so the image is oriented correctly

Selects various operation options

Direct Power On: turns on the projector when you plug it in

Sleep Mode: automatically places the projector in standby mode after an interval of inactivity

Illumination: turns off the lights on the projector

Trigger Out: outputs a signal (12V DC) that communicates the projector's on/off status to any device connected to the Trigger Out port

High Altitude Mode: regulates the projector’s operating temperature at altitudes above 4921 feet (1500 m)

Messages: controls whether messages are displayed on the screen

Display Background: selects the screen color or logo to display when no signal is received

Startup Screen: controls whether a special screen appears when the projector starts up

Standby Confirmation: displays a confirmation message after pressing the Standby button on the remote control

Corrects color misalignment in the projected image

Panel Alignment: enables adjustments for color convergence (the alignment of the red and blue colors in the projected image)

Select Color: specifies the color convergence to correct

Pattern Color: specifies the color pattern used during panel alignment

Start Adjustments: starts the Panel Alignment feature

Reset: resets the correction values

Language Various languages available Selects the language for projector menu and message displays (not changed by Reset option)
* Resets the projector's settings but does not reset the WirelessHD transmitter settings. To reset the WirelessHD transmitter, press the Setup button on the base of the transmitter for at least 5 seconds.
Note: The Reset setting does not reset the Inverse Audio, Audio Out Device, Power On Link, Power Off Link, Projection, User Button, High Altitude Mode, and Language settings.
