Cleaning Around the Print Head

Clean around the print head to remove any ink, lint, or dust that could affect print quality.
  1. Move the print head into the maintenance position.
    Caution:
    Always move the print head using the control panel. Do not move the print head manually or you may cause your product to malfunction.
  2. Open the left maintenance cover.


  3. Dampen a new cleaning stick with ink cleaner and use it to clean the areas shown here.


    Note: Use a wipe to remove any clots of ink that form after using a cleaning stick.
  4. Dampen a new cleaning stick with ink cleaner and use it to clean the areas shown here.


    Note: Two print heads are shown here; the SC-S40600 comes with only the right print head.
  5. Dampen a new cleaning stick with ink cleaner and use it to clean the areas shown here.


  6. Close the left maintenance cover.
