When you
see a message telling you that maintenance parts are nearing the
end of their life, you need to replace the maintenance parts soon.
Make sure you have a new maintenance parts kit handy.
When you see a message telling you to replace the maintenance parts, you need to replace the maintenance parts to continue printing.
Replace all the maintenance parts at the same time.
Note: You can also
replace the maintenance parts at any time by selecting Replace Parts from the Maintenance menu.
Caution:
Make sure you select Replace Parts or wait for the message to replace
the maintenance parts to appear on the LCD screen before replacing
the maintenance parts; otherwise the product's maintenance counter
will not reset.
- After the print head moves to the left side of the printer, open the right maintenance cover.
- Place your fingers in the groove on the back of the wiper unit and tilt it forward slightly.
- Grasp the sides of the wiper unit and pull it straight out.
- Use the packaging from the new wiper unit to wrap the used wiper unit.
- Place the new wiper unit in the printer as shown and press it down until it clicks into place.
- Lift the
tab on the bottom of the flushing pad, remove the flushing pad, and
place it on the metal tray.
Caution:Do not place the flushing pad on the product.
- Insert the new flushing pad into the slots on the product and press the tab down until it clicks into place.
- Grasp the installed air filters and lift them straight out of the product.
- Insert the new air filters as shown.
