If you have problems printing normally, even
after performing a head cleaning, clean the platen path to remove
any lint or fibers that have accumulated.
- If the platen is not in the forward
position, press the
moveable base button to move it
forward.
- Turn off the printer.
- Open the printer cover.
- Wipe the metal border on the left of
the wiper unit using a soft, clean cloth dampened with water and
wrung tight.
Note: Do not apply
force to the gears shown below when cleaning. A malfunction may
occur.
- Wipe the metal border on the right of
the flushing pad.
- Dry off the areas that you cleaned
using a dry, soft cloth.
- Close the printer cover.
- Turn on the printer and perform a
nozzle check.
