Focusing the Image Using the Focus
and Distortion Buttons
You
can adjust the sharpness of the projected image using the focus and
distortion buttons.
Note: Wait 30
minutes after turning on the projector before setting the focus,
zoom, and lens shift for maximum accuracy.
Turn on the projector and display an
image.
Note: If you
are projecting from multiple projectors that differ in brightness,
display a grayscale test pattern to adjust the focus for best
results.
Press the Focus button on the control panel.
Do one of the following depending on the type
of lens you have installed:
Non-short-throw
zoom lens: Press the left and right arrow buttons to adjust
the focus and press the Esc
button when finished. Skip the rest of these steps.
Short-throw zoom
lens: Press the left and right arrow buttons to focus the
image around the center of the lens. You may see a message
prompting you to correct the image distortion. Continue with the
next steps.
Press the Distortion button on the control
panel.
Press the left and right
arrow buttons to focus the image in the surrounding area.
Note: You can
also adjust image distortion using the Focus+ or
– and Distortion+ or –
buttons on the remote control.
If the center becomes out
of focus again, repeat steps 2 and 3.
If you still cannot correct the focus, press the
Calibration button on the remote
control to calibrate the lens, then try focusing again.
