Disabling the External Interface

You can restrict the ability to print using a USB connection by disabling the USB port. You can also disable the USB port using the product control panel.
  1. Access Web Config and select Product Security > External Interface. You see a window like this:


  2. Select PC Connection via USB and do one of the following:
    • Select Disable to prevent USB connections
    • Select Enable to allow USB connections
  3. Click OK to save your setting.
