Flushing the Ink Tubes

You can run a power ink flushing to replace all of the ink in the ink tubes if necessary. This may improve print quality, but consumes more ink than the head cleaning or powerful cleaning options. This process can take up to 20 minutes.
Note: You should only perform a power ink flushing after completely refilling the ink tanks. Running a power ink flushing may shorten the maintenance box service life.
  1. Make sure roll paper or cut sheet paper is loaded in the printer.
  2. Press the  home button, if necessary.
  3. Select Settings > Maintenance > Power Ink Flushing.
  4. Follow the on screen instructions to begin the power ink flushing. When the power ink flushing is finished, a confirmation screen appears.
    Caution:
Never open any covers or turn off the product during a power ink flushing or you may damage it.
  5. Print a nozzle check pattern and see if there are gaps in the lines.
If nozzles are still clogged, turn off the printer and leave it off overnight. If nozzles are still clogged, contact Epson for support.
