Saving Sets of Media Settings

You can use the product's control panel to store numbered sets of media settings for each media type you use. This lets you quickly select all the necessary settings whenever you print on that media type.
Note: You can also use the Epson Edge Dashboard to save media settings. (You can download the Epson Edge Dashboard from the Epson support website.)
  1. Press the Menu button. You see the Media Setup menu on the product LCD screen.
  2. Select Media Setup and press the OK button.
  3. Press the up or down button to select Easy Media Setup and press the OK button.
  4. Press the up or down button to select the desired media number and press the OK button.
Note: If you select a number with settings already saved to it, the existing settings are overwritten.
  5. Enter a name for the media setting and press the OK button.
  6. Press the up or down button to select the media type you loaded and press the OK button.
Note: If you select Textile, you need approximately 30.3 inches (770 mm) of media to print the first adjustment pattern (feed adjustment).
  7. Do one of the following:
    • If you want the product to automatically perform feed adjustment and head alignment, select Auto, press the OK button, and skip the remaining steps.
Note: This option is not available when Film, Canvas, Textile, or Paper/Others is selected for the Media Type setting.
    • If you want to manually perform feed adjustment and head alignment, select Manual, press the OK button, and continue with the next step.
  8. Do one of the following depending on the adjustment pattern that prints:
    • If you see a pattern similar to the following, check the pattern for group A and B and identify the pattern with the least amount of overlap or gap for each group. Press the up or down arrow button to select the value for the pattern you identified from group A (for example, 0.0%) and press the OK button. Press the up or down arrow button to select the value for the pattern you identified from group B and press the OK button.

Note: If you cannot decide between two patterns, select a value halfway between the two patterns. For example, select –0.05% if your adjustment pattern looked like the following:

    • If you see a pattern similar to the following, measure the distance between the + symbols in millimeters. Select the distance you measured on the control panel and press the OK button.

The product prints a new adjustment pattern.
  9. Check the printed patterns and identify the pattern with the least amount of gap between the lines in each group.

  10. Press the up or down arrow button to select the value you identified in the previous step (for example, -1) and press the OK button. Repeat for each group.
