Printer Setup Menu Settings

The Printer Setup menu lets you control margin settings, automatic cleaning cycles, and other aspects of your product's operation.
Caution:
Follow the instructions in the topic links below the table to use these menu settings correctly.
Setting Options Description
Margin Setting Side Margin(Right) Selects the width of the right margin; click the link below to the printable area section for more information.
Side Margin(Left) Selects the width of the left margin; click the link below to the printable area section for more information.
Print Start Position 0.00 to 32.00 inches (0 to 800 mm) Sets an additional margin on the right side of the media; click the link below to the print start position section for more information.
Media Check Media Size Check Automatically detects the edges of the media. Leave this setting On unless the printer displays a Media Size Error when media is loaded correctly.
Media End Check Automatically detects the end of the media. Leave this setting On unless the printer displays Media Out when media is loaded correctly.
Media Skew Check Stops printing and displays an error when skewed media is detected. Leave this setting On to avoid jams caused by skewed media.
Media End Option Continue If you are replacing media during printing, select Continue to continue printing after replacing the media, or Stop Printing to cancel the print job.

Btw Pages Nozzle Check Off Turns off automatic nozzle checks.
Print Pattern Selects how often (based on the number of pages selected) to print a nozzle check pattern. You can then visually check the printed pattern to determine if the print head needs cleaning.
Auto Nozzle Check Automatically runs a nozzle check and cleans the print head if necessary based on the number of pages you selected.
Lamp Setting Auto Selects whether to turn on the light inside the front cover automatically or by using the  front cover light button.

Head Mode 2 Head Mode Selects the print head to use. If you select 2 Head Mode, you can continue printing if one of the print heads becomes clogged.

Sleep Mode 15 to 240 minutes Selects the interval before the printer, heaters, and print drying system (if installed) enters sleep mode. The default is 15 minutes.
Restore Settings Yes Returns all items in the Printer Setup menu to their default settings.

Note: Auto Nozzle Check is unavailable if your printout contains White or Metallic Silver ink (SC-S80600L only), the media you loaded is transparent, you selected 2.5 for the Platen Gap setting in the Setup menu, or your printer is exposed to direct sunlight or other ambient light sources.
