Setting a Proxy Server from the Control Panel

You can set a proxy server using your product control panel (as described below) or the Web Config utility.

You need to set up a proxy server if your network uses a proxy server to access the internet and you want to update the product firmware using Web Config.

Note: This setting can be locked by an administrator. If you cannot access or change this setting, contact your administrator for assistance.

Press the home button, if necessary.
Select Menu > General Settings > Network Settings > Advanced > Proxy Server.
Note: If you already set the product's IP address, selecting Menu may display the Advanced menu directly. If so, just select Proxy Server.
You see a screen like this:
Set Proxy Server Settings to Use.
Enter and confirm the address for the proxy server in IPv4 or FQDN format using the on-screen keyboard.
Enter and confirm the port number for the proxy server as the Proxy Server setting.
Confirm the displayed network settings and select Start Setup to save them.
Press the home button to exit.
