Adjusting the Quality for Each Paper Type

If you still notice dark or light bands in your printouts after adjusting the print quality, you can adjust the quality for each paper type.
  1. Make sure there are no errors on the LCD screen.
  2. Load a few sheets of the type of paper you are adjusting the quality for in the product.
  3. Press the  home button, if necessary.
  4. Select Settings > Maintenance > Print Quality Adjustment per Paper. You see a screen like this:


  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Print Pattern to print an alignment sheet and adjust the alignment for each paper type
    • Enter Set Value to enter alignment numbers for each paper type
  6. Select the type of paper you loaded.
  7. If you printed a pattern, check the printed patterns on the alignment sheet and select the following on the LCD screen:
    • For patterns 1 and 2, select the number representing the pattern with the least misaligned vertical line.


    • For patterns 3 and 4, select the number representing the pattern with the least amount of separation or overlap.


  8. Select Done.
