Projector Setup Settings - Extended Menu

Settings on the Extended menu let you customize various projector setup features that control its operation.

Home Screen Home Screen Auto Disp.

Select various options for the projector's Home screen

Home Screen Auto Disp.: controls whether the Home screen displays automatically when the projector is turned on

Custom Function 1/Custom Function 2: lets you customize the options displayed on the Home screen and save your settings as a preset

Selects various display options

Messages: controls whether messages are displayed on the screen

Display Background: selects the screen color or logo to display when no signal is received

Startup Screen: controls whether a special screen appears when the projector starts up

A/V Mute: selects the screen color or logo to display when A/V Mute is turned on

Closed Caption Off

Controls use of closed captions and selects the closed caption type (closed captions are visible only for NTSC signals connected through the Video port; not available in all countries or regions)
User's Logo Creates a screen that the projector displays to identify itself and enhance security
Projection Front

Selects the way the projector faces the screen so the image is oriented correctly

Selects various operation options

Direct Power On: turns on the projector when you plug it in

High Altitude Mode: regulates the projector’s operating temperature at altitudes above 4921 feet (1500 m)

Auto Source Search: automatically detects the image signal being input when the projector is turned on

Auto Power On: automatically turns on the projector when it receives an image signal (available only when Standby Mode is set to Communication On)

HDMI EQ Setting: adjusts the HDMI input signal level depending on the connected device

Advanced: choose to set a location to save error files, or copy all projector menu settings

Date & Time: adjusts the projector's system time and date settings

A/V Settings A/V Output

Audio Settings

Selects the following when the projector is in standby mode (turned off) and the Standby Mode setting in the ECO menu is set to Communication On:

A/V Output: Always On outputs sound and images to external equipment when the projector is turned off; images must be from an analog signal (VGA only through the Monitor Out port)

Audio Settings: selects the audio source for sound; HDMI Audio Output selects the audio source for HDMI images

Projector ID Off

1 through 9

Sets the projector to a particular ID number which allows you to use a remote control to individually control projectors

Schedules projector events to occur automatically at selected dates and times
Language Various languages available Selects the language for projector menu and message displays (not changed by Reset option)
Reset Resets all settings in the Extended menu to their defaults, except for the following settings: User's Logo, Projection, High Altitude Mode, Auto Source Search, HDMI EQ, Date & Time, A/V Output, Projector ID, Schedule Settings, and Language
