Projector Setup Settings - Extended Menu

Settings on the Extended menu let you customize various projector setup features that control its operation.

Selects various message display options

Messages: controls whether messages, such as projector ID, no signal, warnings, and source name, are displayed on the screen

Display Background: sets what content to display when no signal is received

Startup Screen: controls whether a special screen appears when the projector logo starts up

Standby Confirmation: controls whether a confirmation screen appears when the projector is powered off

Color Uniformity: adjusts the color tone balance

Not available when the Color Mode is set to Dynamic in the projector's Image menu.
  • Adjustment Level: set the adjustment level.
  • Start Adjustments: select the area for which you want to adjust the color tone for red, green, and blue individually.
User's Logo Creates a custom image or logo screen that the projector displays to identify itself and enhance security

Selects the way the projector faces the screen so the image is oriented correctly

Selects various operation options

Direct Power On: lets you turn on the projector without pressing the power button by plugging in to ac outlet

High Altitude Mode: regulates the projector’s operating temperature at altitudes above 4921 feet (1500 m)

Auto Power On: if this is set to HDMI, the projector turns on when a signal is received from the HDMI port, even when the projector is in standby mode

Indicators: turns the projector panel's Status lights on or off

Startup Source: select the input source you want to display from when the projector is turned on

HDMI EQ Setting: change the HDMI reception level of the video source connected to the HDMI port if there is no image or noise in the image

Advanced: select All as the Batch Setup Range setting to copy all of the projector menu settings using the batch setup feature. Select Limited, if you do not want to copy the following settings: Password Protection settings, Network menu settings.

Date & Time: adjusts the projector's date and time settings
  • Daylight Savings Time: enables daylight savings time
  • Internet Time: updates the time automatically via an online time server
Standby Mode Standby Mode

Selects the following when the projector is in standby mode (turned off):

Standby Mode: Communication On indicates that the projector can be monitored and controlled over a network when the projector is in standby mode; enable this setting to monitor and control the projector over a network when the projector is in standby mode

When monitoring or controlling the projector using wireless LAN, set Connection Mode to Advanced

Port: selects the Wired LAN or Wireless LAN port to use while the Standby Mode setting is set to Communication On

DC Out (2.0A)/GPI In Settings DC Out/GPI In Select which operation to execute depending on the input signal from the device, such as when an external sensor is connected to the DC Out (2.0A)/GPI In port.

DC Out/GPI In: enables or disables GPI-1 Settings and GPI-2 Settings. Set to Always On/On to enable the GPI settings. Also, set to Always On/On to keep the external sensor device operating and continue supplying power to the streaming media player when the projector is not projecting images. This lets the device start earlier, or perform updates automatically over a network if necessary. Set to Off to continue using the USB port for power.

GPI Info.

GPI-1 Settings/GPI-2 Settings: set the operation to be executed when the sensor signal exceeds or falls below a certain voltage. Select the Low -> High setting to select the operation for when the sensor signal exceeds a certain voltage. Select the High -> Low setting to select the operation for when the sensor signal falls below a certain voltage.
  • Favorite Playlists: set which playlist to play when you have selected the Start Playlist setting
  • Source: set the image source when you have selected the Source Select setting
  • Combination: set the settings for the combination of GPI-1 and GPI-2 signals
  • Hold High/Hold Low: set how long the High or Low signal is held before executing the selected operation

GPI Info.: displays the current value for GPI-1 and GPI-2

Selects the following when you use multiple projectors:

Multi-Projection: matches the display settings of multiple projectors; automatically turns off Dynamic Contrast and changes the Brightness Setting to Custom

Projector ID: assigns an ID for the projector when you use one remote to control multiple projectors

Color Mode: adjusts the vividness of image colors for various image types and environments

Color Uniformity: adjusts the color tone balance

Edge Blending: corrects a border between multiple images to create a seamless screen

Scale: adjusts and crops the size and position of the image displayed by each projector

Brightness Settings: selects the brightness mode of the projector

Color Matching: corrects the difference in tint and brightness for each projected image

Reset: resets all of the Multi-Projection settings to their default values

Schedules projector events to occur automatically at selected dates and times
Language Various languages available Selects the language for projector menu and message displays
Reset Resets all adjustment values on the Extended menu to their default settings
