You can set
an administrator password to lock the following settings and
prevent them from being changed:
Note: You should
set an administrator password and keep it in a safe place. You must
know the administrator password in order to change it. If you
forget the password or inadvertently set it, contact Epson for
assistance.

You can change the password using the product control panel.
Note: You can also
change the password using Web Config or EpsonNet Config. See the
online
Administrator's Guide for more
information.
- Select the
home icon, if necessary.
- Select Settings.
- Select System
Administration.
- Select Admin
Settings.
- Select Admin
Password > Change.
- Enter
your current password.
Note:
In most cases, the default password is the product's serial number.
If there is a "Password" label attached to the back of the product,
enter the 8-digit number shown on the label. If there is no
"Password" label attached, enter the serial number on the label
attached to the back of the product for the initial administrator
password. If you restore the product to default settings, the
administrator password resets to the initial setting.
- Enter a
new password.
Note:
The new password must be 8 to 20 characters long and only contain
single-byte alphanumeric characters and symbols.
- Enter the new password again to
confirm it.
Note: Keep a copy
of your password in a safe place.
- Select Lock
Setting > On to enable
access restriction.
When the
control panel is locked, you must enter the password to access any
of the locked settings. You can reset the administrator password by
selecting
Reset on the Admin
Password screen. To disable access restriction, select
Settings >
System
Administration >
Admin
Settings >
Lock Setting
>
Off.
