If lines
appear on copy results or scanned images, clean the inside of the
scanner.
Caution:
Never use volatile chemicals such as thinner,
benzene, or alcohol. Doing so could damage the scanner.
- Open the
scanner cover.
Caution:
When opening and closing the scanner cover,
keep your hands away from the gap between the scanner cover and the
printer. Otherwise, your fingers or hands may be injured.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to carefully wipe the inside of the
scanner.
Caution:
Use only a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid
or chemical cleansers. Do not use brushes or other hard objects to
clean inside the scanner; they may scratch the glass surface and
affect the print quality.
