Feature Settings - Operation Menu

Settings on the Operation menu let you customize various projector features that control its operation. The available settings depend on the currently selected input source and other settings.



Setting Options Description
Auto Source Search On

Off

Enables the projector to automatically select an input source; not available in Content Playback mode or when the projector is turned on in Quick Startup mode
Light Source Brightness Control Maintain Brightness

Maintain Brightness Level

Light Source Mode

Brightness Level

Controls the constant brightness of the projector's light source

Maintain Brightness: maintains a constant brightness

Maintain Brightness Level: selects the brightness level to maintain when the Maintain Brightness setting is enabled

Light Source Mode: selects the brightness mode of the projector when the Maintain Brightness setting is disabled
  • Normal: maximum brightness
  • Quiet: 70% brightness with reduced fan noise
  • Extended: 70% brightness and extends the life expectancy of the light source
  • Custom: select a custom brightness level and enable use of the next setting

Brightness Level: select the Custom brightness level you want

Direct Power On On

Off

Controls whether the projector automatically turns on when you plug it in
Auto Power On HDMI1

USB Display

Off

Selects whether to automatically turn on the projector when you connect an input signal to a specific input source
Power On Trigger Plug-in Detection

Signal Detection

Selects the power on condition when Auto Power On is set to HDMI1:
  • Plug-in Detection: automatically turns on the projector when the device connected to the HDMI1 port is turned on
  • Signal Detection: automatically turns on the projector when it detects an HDMI video signal on the HDMI1 port; selecting this option increases standby power consumption
Sleep Mode On

Off

Automatically turns off the projector after an interval of inactivity
Sleep Mode Timer 1 to 30 minutes Sets the time before the projector automatically turns off (Sleep Mode must be turned on)
A/V Mute Timer On

Off

Automatically turns off the projector after 30 minutes of inactivity
Lens Cover Timer On

Off

Automatically turns off the projector after 30 minutes if the lens cover is closed.
Standby Mode Communication On

Communication Off

Enable this setting to allow monitoring and control of the projector over a network when the projector is in standby mode.
This setting is only displayed in the following cases:
  • A/V Output is set to While Projecting in the Signal I/O menu
  • Auto Power On is not set to HDMI1 and Power On Trigger is set to Plug-in Detection
  • Auto Power On is set to Off in the projector's Network menu, or
  • USB Power is set to On While Projecting.
Port Wired LAN

Wireless LAN

Selects the port to use while the Standby Mode setting is set to Communication On
Startup Source Various input sources available Selects the source displayed on startup in Content Playback mode
Quick Startup Off

Sets the time period for which you want to be able to restart the projector within five seconds of turning it off (Quick Start mode).

It may take longer than five seconds when projecting from the projector's USB port or when using the Screen Mirroring features.

This setting is only displayed when:
  • A/V Output is set to While Projecting in the projector's Signal I/O menu
  • Auto Power On is set to HDMI1 and Power On Trigger is set to Plug-in Detection in the projector's Operation menu, or
  • Auto Power On is set to Off in the projector's Network menu
USB Power On While Projecting

Always On

This setting is only displayed when:
  • A/V Output is set to While Projecting in the projector's Signal I/O menu
  • Auto Power On is set to HDMI1 and Power On Trigger is set to Plug-in Detection in the projector's Operation menu, or
  • Auto Power On is set to Off in the projector's Network menu
Closed Caption CC1

CC2

Off

Selects the type of closed captioning to display (availability varies by country)
Indicators On

Off

Enables or disables the status indicator lights on the projector
Content Playback On

Off

Enable to play back a playlist created in the Epson Projector Content Manager software
Overlay Effect Overlay Effect

Shape Filter

Color Filter

Lightness

Adds color and shape effects to the projected image; not available when Edge Blending is enabled
USB Viewer Select a playlist from the USB device
Reset Operation Settings Reset all settings on the Operation menu to their default values
