Adjusting the Color Convergence (Panel Alignment)

You can use the Panel Alignment feature to manually adjust the color convergence (the alignment of the red and blue colors) in the projected image. You can adjust the pixels horizontally and vertically in increments of 0.125 pixels within a range of ± 3 pixels.
Note:
  • You can adjust only the red or blue color convergence. Green is the standard color panel and cannot be adjusted.
  • Image quality may decline after performing Panel Alignment.
  • Images for pixels that extend beyond the edge of the projected screen are not displayed.
  1. Press the Menu button, select the Display menu, and then press Enter.


  2. Select Panel Alignment and press Enter.
  3. Select Panel Alignment and set it to On.
  4. Select Select Color and choose one of the following:
    • R to adjust the red color convergence.
    • B to adjust the blue color convergence.
  5. Select Pattern Color and choose the grid color displayed when making adjustments. The available color varies depending on the Select Color setting.
    • R/G/B to display the grid color in white.
    • R/G to display the grid color in yellow.
    • G/B to display the grid color in cyan.
  6. Select Start Adjustments and press Enter.
  7. Select one of the following options:
    • Select Shift the whole panel to adjust the entire panel at the same time and go to the next step.
    • Select Adjust the four corners to adjust the corners of the panel one at a time and go to step 10.
  8. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to adjust the color alignment selected in Select Color, and then press Enter.
    Note: Adjustments affect the grid lines in the entire screen.
  9. Select one of the following options:
    • Select Adjust the four corners to fine-tune your adjustments.
    • Select Exit when you are finished making adjustments.
  10. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to adjust the color alignment of the screen corner highlighted by the orange box, and then press Enter.
  11. When you are finished adjusting each corner of the screen, press Enter.
  12. Select one of the following options:
    • If your projector needs additional panel alignment, select Select intersection and adjust. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to highlight the corner of any misaligned box on the screen, press Enter, make any necessary adjustments, and then press Enter again. Repeat this step as necessary for the other intersections.
    • Select Exit when you are finished.
