Installation Settings - Installation Menu

Settings on the Installation menu let you set up your projector for your installation environment. The available settings depend on the currently selected input source and other settings.



Setting Options Description
Fixed Installation On

Off

Set to On if you installed the projector in a fixed location
Test Pattern Displays a test pattern to assist in focusing and zooming the image and correcting image shape
Setting Plate Installation Guide Displays an on-screen guide to assist with installing the projection screen when you have installed the projector on a wall
Projection Front

Front/Upside Down

Rear

Rear/Upside Down

Selects the way the projector faces the screen so the image is oriented correctly
Geometry Correction

Quick Corner

Arc Correction

Point Correction

Correct Distortion Using Smartphone

Fit to Screen Using Smartphone

Memory

Adjusts image shape to rectangular (horizontally and vertically)

Quick Corner: select to correct image shape and alignment using an on-screen display

Arc Correction: select to adjust the curve or arc of the horizontal and vertical sides

Point Correction: select to divide the projected image into a grid and correct distortion by moving a selected point

Correct Distortion Using Smartphone: corrects the distortion of projected images using the Epson Setting Assistant app

Fit to Screen Using Smartphone: corrects the shape and position of images to fit on your screen using the Epson Setting Assistant app

Memory: controls memory functions for current image shape settings
  • Save Memory: saves the current image shape as a memory setting
  • Load Memory: loads a saved image shape memory
  • Rename Memory: renames a saved image shape memory
  • Erase Memory: deletes a saved image shape memory
  • Reset Memory: resets all the image shape memory settings

Connect to Setting Assistant Displays the QR code to connect to the Epson Setting Assistant app
Digital Zoom Varying levels available Adjusts the size of the projected image
Image Shift Varying positions available Adjusts the position of the projected image (setting does not appear if Digital Zoom is at its widest setting)
Remote Receiver Front/Rear

Off

Limits reception of remote control signals by the selected receiver; Off turns off all receivers
Screen Type 4:3

Sets the aspect ratio to fit the image on the projection surface. Setting is only displayed when Content Playback is set to Off in the projector's Operation menu.
Screen Position Varying positions available Shifts the image position on the screen (only available if the Screen Type setting is not set to the same aspect ratio as the projector's native resolution)
High Altitude Mode On

Off

Regulates the projector's operating temperature at altitudes above 4921 feet (1500 m)
Source Displays settings saved for each input source. To change settings for an input source, make sure the source is connected and select that source.
Blanking

Top

Bottom

Left

Right

Hides an area of the projected image that you select using the arrow buttons. Setting is only displayed when Content Playback is set to Off in the projector's Operation menu.
Reset to Defaults Resets all settings for current input source. Setting is only displayed when Content Playback is set to Off in the projector's Operation menu.
Settings for Video Conference Rooms Changes multiple menu items at once for video conference rooms.
Install Again Opens the wizard to adjust the projected image for re-installing the projector.
Reset Installation Settings Resets all settings on the Installation menu to their default values except for the following:
  • Digital Zoom
  • Image Shift
