Input Signal Settings - Signal I/O Menu

Normally the projector detects and optimizes the input signal settings automatically. If you need to customize the settings, you can use the Signal I/O menu. The available settings depend on the currently selected input source.



To change settings for an input source, make sure the source is connected and select that source.

Select your favorite mode for sound output from the projector's speaker system according to the playback contents
Source Displays settings selected for the current input source. To change settings for an input source, make sure the source is connected and select that source
Signal Format Video Range Sets the video range to match the setting of input source. Setting is only displayed when the current source is HDMI or HDBaseT
Color Space

Sets the conversion system for the color space. Setting is only displayed in the following cases:
  • Color Mode is not set to DICOM SIM
  • The current source is HDMI or HDBaseT
Dynamic Range Dynamic Range Changes the range of dark and bright areas in images; choose from Auto (recommended), SDR, HDR10, or HLG. Setting is only displayed in the following cases:
  • Color Mode is not set to DICOM SIM
  • The current source is HDMI or HDBaseT
Signal Status Displays the detected input image signal.
HDR10 Setting Changes the PQ (Perceptual Quantizer) curve of the dynamic range using the HDR PQ method. This setting is only displayed when Signal Status is HDR10, or Dynamic Range is set to HDR10.
HLG Setting Changes the HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) curve of the dynamic range using the HDR HLG method. This setting is only displayed when Signal Status is HLG, or Dynamic Range is set to HLG.
Reset to Defaults Resets all settings for current input source

Describes the display capabilities of your projector when the selected input source is HDMI; change this setting as necessary according to the resolution of the current input source
HDMI IN EQ Level HDMI1

Adjusts the HDMI input signal level depending on the devices connected to the HDMI port; change the setting if there is a lot of interference in the image or if no image is projected
Note: You can select the settings for individual input sources without changing the input source.
A/V Output While Projecting

Always On

Determines when the projector outputs audio and images to external devices; set to Always On to output audio and images when the projector is in standby mode

This setting is only displayed when Quick Startup is set to Off in the projector's Operation menu, Auto Power On is set to Off in the projector's Network menu, or Auto Power On is set to HDMI1 and Power On Trigger is set to Plug-in Detection in the projector's Operation menu.

Inverse Audio On

Set to On to invert the audio's left and right channels to match the projector installation position.

HDMI Out Terminal End

Adjusts the HDMI Link options that allow the projector or remote to control HDMI-connected devices that support the CEC standard

Device Connections: lists the devices connected to the HDMI ports.

HDMI Link: enables or disables the HDMI Link feature

Audio Out Device: selects whether to output audio from the internal speakers or a connected audio/visual system

Power On Link: controls what happens when you turn on the projector or a linked device
  • Bidirectional: automatically turns on the connected device when you turn on the projector, and vice versa
  • Device -> PJ: automatically turns on the projector when you turn on the connected device
  • PJ -> Device: automatically turns on the connected device when you turn on the projector

Power Off Link: controls whether linked devices are turned off when the projector is turned off

HDMI Out Power Link: Turns on or off devices connected to the HDMI Out port when you turn the projector on or off.

HDMI Out Terminal End: Selects whether to use the projector as the end projector.

HDBaseT Control Communications Enables or disables communication from the Ethernet and serial ports on the HDBaseT transmitter or switcher; turning on this setting disables the projector's LAN and RS-232C ports. Setting is only displayed when Extron XTP is set to Off.
Extron XTP Set to On when you connect an Extron XTP transmitter or switcher to the HDBaseT ports.
Reset Signal I/O Settings Resets all settings on the Signal I/O menu to their default values
