You can use
Epson Media Installer to create custom paper settings by copying an
existing paper setting, renaming it, and assigning an ICC profile.
After that, the custom paper setting can be selected from the
printer control panel or the printer driver.
Note:
- You will need an ICC profile to assign to the custom paper
setting.
- To download and install media settings on the printer, you must
be connected to the Internet and to the printer.
- On Mac, Epson Media Installer requires OS X 10.9.x or later to
be installed.
- Open the Epson Media Installer
software.
- Windows 11: On the right side of
the Windows taskbar, click the up arrow, click the
icon, and click on your product.
Select Printer Settings, select the
Utility tab, and click Epson Media Installer.
- Windows (other versions): Access
the Windows Desktop and right-click the
icon for your product in the
right side of the Windows taskbar, or click the up arrow and
right-click
, select Properties or Printing
preferences, and click on the Utility tab. Click Epson
Media Installer.
- Mac: Open the Applications > Epson
Software > Epson Utilities
folder and double-click Epson Media
Installer.app.
- Click Media
Management, if necessary.
You see a screen like this:
Note: Custom paper
settings created from the printer control panel are not
displayed.
- Select the paper type you want to use
as a base for the new paper setting and click
(copy media).
Note: You can only
copy paper types with a Registered
status.
A confirmation message appears.
- Select OK.
A copy of the paper setting is created.
- Select the new paper setting and click
(edit).
The Edit Media Settings screen is displayed.

- Enter a new name and click
Browse to load the ICC profile file
you want to use for the paper setting.
- Edit any other settings, as
desired.
- Click OK and confirm that you want to add the new
paper setting to the driver and printer.
Note: The new
paper type will be assigned as the next open custom paper setting
on the printer.
The new Media
Type setting is available in your printer driver and registered as
a
Custom Paper Setting on the
printer control panel. You see the

imported icon next to custom
paper settings that were registered using Epson Media Installer.
Note: If the
printer driver is uninstalled, paper types previously added using
Epson Media Installer may not appear when the driver is
reinstalled. To re-register the paper information, open Epson Media
Installer, and click Media
Management > Refresh.
