Sending a Fax on Demand (Bulletin Board Box)

You can store up to 10 scanned documents (of up to 200 black-and-white pages) and have them sent automatically when another fax machine requests it. Other fax users can receive the document by calling your fax number and using the polling receive function on their fax machines. The requesting fax machine must support the subaddress/password feature.
  1. Place your original on the product for faxing.
  2. Press the  home button, if necessary.
  3. Select Menu > Fax Box.
  4. Select Polling Send/Board.
  5. Select one of the boxes named Unregistered Bulletin Board.
    Note: If a password entry screen is displayed, enter the password.
  6. Enter information for the following settings:
    • Enter a name in the Name (Required) setting.
    • Enter a subaddress in the Subaddress(SEP) setting.
    • Enter a password in the Password(PWD) setting.
  7. Make the appropriate settings such as Notify Send Result.
    Note: If you set a password in Box Open Password, you will be asked to enter the password from the next time you open the box.
  8. Select OK to apply the settings.
  9. To store a document in a bulletin board box, select Fax Box > Polling Send/Board.
  10. Select a registered bulletin board box. If the password entry screen is displayed, enter the password to open the box.
  11. Select Add Document.
  12. Review the displayed Fax Settings. Make any necessary changes.
  13. Select the Store icon. Your document is scanned and stored until you overwrite or delete it.
You can store only one document at a time in a bulletin board box. Subsequent documents overwrite the existing document. You can also delete a stored document from the Job/Status screen.
