Ink Cartridges

Ink cartridges for this printer have an IC chip. The IC chip stores data about the amount of ink remaining and other items, so that even if an ink cartridge is removed before it is empty, it can be put back in and used normally.

Caution:
  • EPSON recommends the use of original EPSON ink cartridges only. Other products not manufactured by EPSON may cause damage to your printer not covered by EPSON's warranties.
  • Do not use an ink cartridge if the date on the package has expired.
  • Do not refill the ink cartridge. The printer calculates the amount of ink remaining using an IC chip on the ink cartridge, so even if the cartridge is refilled, the IC chip will report that it is empty.
