Assigning a Program to the Start Button

By default, the Start button opens Epson Scan when you press it.

Assigning a Project Program in Epson Event Manager to the Start Button

You can assign the Start button to open a program in the Epson Event Manager to make scanning your projects even quicker.
Note for Mac OS X 10.5.8 users:
The Start button is not supported. To start Epson Scan, see Using the Epson Scan Icon for instructions.
Do one of the following to start Epson Event Manager:
Windows 8:
Navigate to the Start screen and select Event Manager.
Windows (other versions):
Select or Start > Programs or All Programs > Epson Software > Event Manager.
Mac OS X:
Select Applications > Epson Software, and double-click the Launch Event Manager icon.
You see the Button Settings tab in Epson Event Manager.
Click the arrow in the list next to the button name, then select the action you want to assign.
Click Close to close the Epson Event Manager window.
Now whenever you press the Start button, the action you selected occurs.
Note:
If you need help using Epson Event Manager, do one of the following.
Windows: Click the icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Mac OS X: Click Help from menu, then Epson Event Manager Help.
