Scanning Film with EPSON Scan
You can scan 35 mm color slides or film in any of the three scanning modes. You must use Home Mode or Professional Mode to scan black and white negative film. You also have greater control over your scan settings when you use these modes to scan any type of film or slide.

If you started EPSON Scan directly from your computer, you see a File Save Settings window. Type a name for your file in the Prefix box, select a file format in the Type box, and click OK. Your film is automatically scanned, and the file is saved to the designated location.
Home Mode or Professional Mode

Home Mode: For Document Type, choose Positive Film, Color Negative Film, or B&W Negative Film.
Professional Mode: For Document Type, choose Film. Then select Positive Film, Color Negative Film, or B&W Negative Film for the Film Type.

Click Scan.
If you scanned from an application like Photoshop, your scanned image opens in your application window.
