Auto Photo Correction
Your Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Series automatically analyzes your photos and, if necessary, adjusts the brightness, contrast, and saturation. Now you can bring back to life those dark portraits and dull landscapes that you normally wouldn’t print. And you don’t need to do anything special to use this feature. The Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Series automatically corrects photos you print with or without a computer. Simply insert your memory card or print from your computer software and your all-in-one will do the rest.
When viewing your photo, you see Preview Auto Correct in the lower left corner of the display screen. If the words Preview Auto Correct are orange, Auto Photo Correction will significantly improve your photo. If the words are white, the correction will be more subtle. Press . After a moment, the corrected image appears. Press again to return to the original view.
Auto Photo Correction (called PhotoEnhance) uses a sophisticated face recognition technology to optimize photos that include faces. For this to work, both eyes and the nose must be visible in the subject’s face. If your photo includes a face with an intentional color cast, such as a bronze statue, you may want to turn off PhotoEnhance to retain the special color effects.
If you need to turn PhotoEnhance on or off, follow the links below, depending on how you’re printing:
