Printer / Paper Handling

Loading Plain Paper

Follow these steps to load plain paper for printing or copying.

Slide out the extension of the output tray. Next, slide the left edge guide to adjust the width of the loading area so that it is slightly wider than the width of your paper.

Fan a stack of paper; then tap it on a flat surface to even the edges.

Load the stack of paper with the printable side up and the right edge of the paper resting against the right side of the sheet feeder. Then slide the left edge guide against the edge of the paper.

Note:

Always load plain paper into the sheet feeder short side first.

Make sure the paper stack fits under the arrow mark inside the edge guide.
