Noise After Ink Installation
The first time you install ink cartridges, the WorkForce 610 Series must charge its print head for 2 minutes or so. Wait until charging finishes (the On light stops flashing) before you turn off the WorkForce 610 Series, or it may charge improperly and use excess ink the next time you turn it on.
If the printer stops moving or making noise, but the On light is still flashing after 5 minutes, turn off the WorkForce 610 Series. If the light is still flashing when you turn it back on, contact Epson.
Turn off the WorkForce 610 Series, then make sure the ink cartridges are inserted completely and the ink cartridge cover is closed completely. Also make sure no packing material remains in the WorkForce 610 Series. Wait a moment, then turn the WorkForce 610 Series back on to clear the error.
Software Installation Problems
If you’re installing the WorkForce 610 Series using a USB cable, make sure your WorkForce 610 Series is turned on and the USB cable is securely connected at both ends. If you still have problems, disconnect the USB cable and carefully follow the software installation instructions on the Start Here sheet. Also make sure your system meets the requirements.
If you see an error message or your software doesn’t install correctly in Windows, you may not have software installation privileges. Contact your System Administrator.
If you installed the printer using a USB cable, make sure the USB Controller is working properly in Device Manager. See your Windows help system for details. If it’s not working, contact your computer manufacturer. If you are using a USB hub, try connecting directly to your computer.
Control Panel Language Is Incorrect
If you want to select a different language for the messages on the control panel, press the Home button, select Setup, select Printer Setup, choose Language, and select the language.
Audible “Beep” Needs to be Turned Off
If you want to turn off the “beep” heard when you press a button, press the Home button, select Setup, select Printer Setup, press OK to select Sound, and select Off.
Note:
When you turn off the beep, the dialing sound made when you transmit a fax is also turned off.
A Red Light Stays On Inside the Printer After You Turn Off the Power
The light may stay on for 15 minutes and then go out automatically. This is normal.
