Using the Multi Photo Feeder

Scanning With the Multi Photo Feeder

Follow the steps below to scan photos or business cards.

Note:

Make sure photos or business cards are all the same size.

Load up to 24 photos or business cards in the input tray of the Multi Photo Feeder. See Loading Photos or Business Cards in the Multi Photo Feeder.

Start EPSON Scan.

Choose the scanning mode from the list box at the top right of the window. For details, see Changing the scanning mode.

To scan photos or business cards using the default settings with no preview, select Full Auto Mode.

To scan photos or business cards using custom settings with no preview, select Home Mode. For details, see Scanning in Home Mode.

To scan photos or business cards one at a time using custom settings and a preview, select Professional Mode. For details, see Scanning in the Professional Mode.

Scanning in Home Mode

In the EPSON Scan main window, specify the Document Type, Image Type, and Destination settings.

Click the Image Adjustments button to specify any adjustment settings.

Click Scan. All photos or business cards in the input tray are scanned automatically.

Note:

Preview is not available in Home Mode. To preview each photo or business card one by one, scan using Professional Mode.

Scanning in the Professional Mode

In the EPSON Scan main window, make sure that MPF is selected from the Document Source list, then choose the appropriate scanning settings.

Click Preview. The preview window appears.

Note:

After previewing a photo or business card loaded in the Multi Photo Feeder, if you don't scan within 15 minutes, the photo or card is ejected automatically and the scanner enters sleep mode. Load the ejected photos or cards into the Multi Photo Feeder and click Preview again to scan them.

If you do not want to preview each photo or business card, scan using Full Auto Mode or Home Mode.

Draw a marquee (a frame around the scan area) by dragging the mouse pointer over the image in the Preview window.

Specify the output size of the scanned image as the Target Size. Specify any Adjustments settings as necessary. (You may need to scroll to the bottom of the screen.)

Click Scan. The photo or business card you scanned is ejected to the output tray and the next one is previewed. If you do not want to scan that one, click Preview to go to the next one.

Repeat steps 3 through 5 until all photos or business cards in the input tray are scanned.
