Auto Film Loader does not feed film
Try one or more of the following solutions.
-
Make sure the film is loaded correctly. If necessary, see the following section for more information.
- Press the
Eject button to remove any jammed film. Then reload the film and restart
EPSON Scan.
- Make sure the Start
light turns on green. If it turns on red, see Fatal
error. If it is flashing green, wait until the current operation is finished
and the light turns on green.
- If the Auto Film Loader does not feed film and the
Start button light does not turn on green (without flashing), connect the
scanner to your computer, then try to load the film.

Film jams
Follow the procedure below to remove film jams.
|
If the auto film loader cover is closed, push and release the back of
the cover to open it. Then flip out the metal film guide and press it down
gently until it clicks into place. |
|
Press the
Eject button. If the film is not ejected, go to the next step. |
|
Unplug the scanner to turn it off. |
|
Open the scanner cover. |
|
Check the inside of the Auto Film Loader to find out where the jam is located.
|
|
If the film is jammed above the white scan window:
While holding the scanner cover with your hand, turn the feed knob in the
direction of the arrow until the end of the film has passed through the
loading area on the scanner lid. Then gently pull out the film. |
If the film is jammed on or below the white scan
window:
While holding the scanner cover with your hand, open the film path cover as
shown. Then turn the feed knob in the direction of the arrow until the end of
the film has passed through the loading area beneath the scanner cover. Then
gently pull out the film.
|
To continue scanning, close the EPSON Scan software. Plug in the scanner
and try loading film again. |
