Details of Maintenance mode items

This section describes how to enter Maintenance mode and how to select settings with the buttons on the control panel.

Note:

Press to return to the previous step.

Enter Maintenance mode Make sure the printer is turned off. Then press and hold the  Cancel button, and then press the  Power button to turn on the printer.

Select a menu item Press or to select a menu item.

Enter the menu item Press to enter the selected menu item. The first parameter is displayed on the printer’s LCD.

Select an option Press or to select an option for the menu item.

Set the option Press Enter to store the selected option. If the option is for execution only, press Enter to execute the function for the item.

Note:

If a second option is displayed on the printer’s LCD, repeat steps 4 and 5 to select and set the second option.

Exit Maintenance mode Press the  Power button to turn off the printer, and then turn it on again.

You can select the language to be displayed on the printer’s LCD.

In Maintenance mode, press or to highlight LANGUAGE, and then press .

Press or to select a language.

Press Enter to set the language. Confirm that READY (or a similar message in the language selected) appears on the printer’s LCD.

Note:

It may take a while for READY (or a similar message in another language) to appear on the printer’s LCD.

You can select a unit of measurement to use to display length. Follow the steps below to select a unit.

In Maintenance mode, press or to select UNIT, then press .

Press or to select a unit of measure.

Press Enter to set it.

You can restore all the printer menu settings to their default values.
