Transferring Settings using a USB Flash Drive

After saving projector settings to a USB flash drive, you can transfer them to another projector of the same model.
Note: Use an empty flash drive. If the drive contains other files, the transfer may not complete correctly. The flash drive must use the FAT format and cannot have any security features.
Note: Do not adjust image settings on a projector until after you transfer settings to it. Otherwise, you may have to repeat your adjustments.
  1. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord from the projector's power inlet.
  2. Insert the flash drive into the USB-A port.
  3. Press and hold the Esc button on the remote control as you connect the power cord to the projector's power inlet.
  4. When all of the projector lights turn on, release the Esc button. All of the status lights flash to indicate that settings are transferring to the USB device. When the lights stop flashing, the projector enters standby mode.
    Caution:
Do not unplug the power cord or remove the flash drive while the lights are flashing. This could damage the projector.
  5. Once the projector enters standby mode, remove the flash drive.
Note: The USB flash drive contains a single file called PJCONFDATA.bin if the transfer was successful. If the drive contains other files, the transfer may not have completed correctly. If you need to change the file name, add text after PJCONFDATA using only alphanumeric characters. If you change the PJCONFDATA part of the file name, the projector may not be able to recognize the file correctly.
  6. Turn off the other projector you want to transfer the settings to and unplug the power cord.
  7. Insert the flash drive into the USB-A port.
  8. Press and hold the Menu button on the remote control as you connect the power cord to the projector's power inlet.
  9. When all of the projector lights turn on, release the Menu button. All of the status lights flash to indicate that settings are transferring to the projector. When the lights stop flashing, the projector enters standby mode.
    Caution:
Do not unplug the power cord or remove the flash drive while the lights are flashing. This could damage the projector.
  10. Once the projector enters standby mode, remove the flash drive.
