Loading Thick or Large Cut Sheets (Poster Board)

Load poster board of less than 30 inches (762 mm) long in portrait orientation (short edge first). You can load poster board from .02 to .06 inches (0.5 mm - 1.5 mm) thick.
Note: Remove any loaded paper, including roll paper, before you load cut sheet paper or poster board. You can load poster board with a length of up to 30 inches (762 mm). You can load poster board longer than 30 inches (762 mm) in the SureColor P9500 Series by loading the paper horizontally.
  1. Close the roll paper cover, if necessary.
  2. Select the paper information area on the LCD screen.
  3. Select Poster Board.
  4. Open the cut sheet cover.

  5. Feed the sheet into the right side of the paper feed slot until it meets resistance. Align the right edge of the sheet with the vertical line on the roll paper cover as shown. Make sure the printable side of the sheet is visible.

  6. Insert the sheet until the trailing edge is below the loading mark on the roll paper cover (the top edge of the ruler).
  7. Select Complete > OK on the LCD screen.
  8. Select a media type that matches the loaded paper.
Note: Store cut sheet media flat in its original packaging. Storing sheet media unprotected or on its long or short edge can lead to excess paper curl and cause damage to the printer and ruined prints.
  9. To remove a poster board from the printer, select the paper information area on the LCD screen and select Remove.
